Every new residential and commercial project in Maharashtra that falls under RERA must be registered with MahaRERA before it is marketed. Checking the registration takes a few minutes and is one of the best ways to protect your money.
Step 1: Get the registration number
The MahaRERA number is printed on brochures, advertisements and site boards, usually with a QR code. Large projects often have a separate number for each phase or tower. Ask which number covers the flat you are buying.
Step 2: Search on the MahaRERA website
Go to the official MahaRERA website (maharera.maharashtra.gov.in) and use the project search. Enter the registration number or the project name.
Step 3: Check the details that matter
- Promoter (developer) name matches the company you are dealing with
- Proposed completion date declared by the developer
- Approved plans and building permissions
- Number of units and how many are booked
- Quarterly progress updates and any complaints
Step 4: Check the agent too
Real estate agents must also be registered with MahaRERA. agkeystone’s agent registration number is shown at the bottom of every page of this website.
Step 5: Read the agreement
Before paying beyond the booking amount, read the agreement for sale and confirm the carpet area, payment schedule and possession date match what you were told. We help our buyers review these documents before signing.
